This is a shot of one of the custom girder bridges that are going to be put on the layout. These are all made for specific points throughout the layout.
This is a shot from the far corner looking back towards the stairs. The closet will house the DCS, TMCC and the Z4000s. It will also contain all the wire hook ups. All the connections are soldered to the track for maximum efficiency.
A custom bridge spans the opening. Look at the detail on the support from the ceiling. The craftsmanship is second to none.
This is in the room that will have a small platform seen below and roundhouse. Once again we can see the level of detail on the layout supports. There are also several small areas along the layout for scenery and towns.
A view from a ladder shows an area just to the left a station. This section contains a siding that should support a train with 25 or more cars.
Here is the station area. Another large custom bridge. RealTrax by MTH is used with all the pieces soldered together.
A cut out from one room to the other lets the trains pass from the family room into the roundhouse area.
I personally cannot wait until this is done. I plan on doing a full story for the site. The gentleman that is doing all the work is very talented.
